Your message is on the mark, while many view that taking a break from the corporate world is a fate worse than death, many times it can be exactly what we need professionally and personally. Our professional days are filled with prioritized task lists, client call, and meetings.
How often do we take the time to develop our professional skills outside our corporate environment. The world is flat now, it is a global economy out there and we have to re-calibrate at a much faster pace than ever before.
By investing in ourselves, ie: professional and personal networking, education, and community service we can bring tremendous benefits to the companies we align professional careers. As my mother always says, you never know who you might meet, go, do your best and enjoy!
